I am a Dunham Jackson Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics, University of Minnesota. I received my Ph.D at the University of Chicago in 2017, under the direction of Benson Farb.
My work lies at the juncture of topology, algebraic geometry, representation theory, and combinatorics. I especially like to apply algebraic topology to study various moduli spaces or configuration spaces. See the picture below for some words that show up frequently in my notebook.
I am currently on the academic job market, to start in Fall 2020. Here is my CV.
My first name is pronounced "Wei-Ian". My name in Chinese is 陈伟彦.
