Cohomology of configurations in d-space

(joint work with Patricia Hersh) It is known from work of Church and Farb that the symmetric group representations on the cohomology of the configuration space of ordered points in a manifold exhibits representation stability. This talk will discuss the case when the manifold is d-dimensional Euclidean space, where we know a lot more about these cohomology representations, and exactly how quickly they stabilize.
