About Me

I am a fourth year graduate student in the mathematics department of the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities). My research area is algebraic combinatorics and my thesis advisor is Vic Reiner. I graduated from Bard College in May 2015. Outside of mathematics, I like hiking, biking, and running (slowly).

Research Interests

Broadly, I am interested in algebraic combinatorics, especially problems related to matroids, posets, and combinatorial aspects of commutative algebra. Recently I've been working on a couple of projects related to hyperplane arrangements, (oriented) matroids, simplicial complexes, chain complexes, and parking funtions (more or less...).

Teaching

Upcoming (Fall 2018): [TBA]

Other Activities

  • In the 2017-2018 academic year, I orgaized the Student Combinatorics Seminar with Elizabeth Kelley. Our seminar calendar can be found here. During the 2018-2019 academic year, the Student Combinatorics seminar will be organized by Esther Banian and Sarah Brauner (website to come).
  • During Summer 2017 I organized a reading group about Coxeter Groups. We posted some notes online. You can see our (very messy) home page here: Coxeter Groups.
