Welcome!

My name is Mike Loper. In Fall 2020 I will be joining the Mathematics Department at the University of Wisconsin--River Falls as an Assistant Professor.

I received my PhD from the University of Minnesota, where my advisor was Christine Berkesch.

The problems I am most interested in are in the fields of commutative algebra and algebraic geometry and often have a combinatorial flavor. My thesis is on properties of virtual resolutions over toric varieties.

Feel free to have a look around and let me know if you have any questions. My contact information can be found by clicking on the Contact tab above.
