Interests
I am interested in all aspects of teaching college mathematics, particularly the use of technology and active learning techniques in the classroom, training mathematics teachers, content knowledge for K12 mathematics teachers, and ensuring access for students who have been historically underrepresented in STEM. I am also interested in the geometry and topology of threedimensional manifolds
and the related geometric group theory.
I am a baseball umpire. The Official Baseball Rules describe laying out a baseball diamond with a method that resembles a geometric construction.
