This figure shows a finite portion of a hyperbolic paraboloid, and a twisted cubic curve that lies on the surface. The curve is shown in green.   {Actually, the curve has been thickened slightly -- in the directions perpendicular to the surface at each point -- in order to make it more visible.} Click here to go:
