Problem G: We have covered the sphere S2 with six coordinate charts. In fact, two coordiante charts would have suffice using different local parametrizations. Find a two-chart description of the sphere.
Problem H: Let V be an open subset in R3 and S1, S2 regular surfaces with S1 contained in V. Let f: V → R3 be a differentiable map with f(S1) contained in S2. Show that f restricted to S1 is differentiable in the sense of Definition 7.7.
