Polya's Theorem on Positive Polynomials

I will give some history and discussion of the problem of determining, for a given domain in $\mathbb{R}^n$, the set of polynomial functions that are nonnegative on this domain. In particular, I will state and prove Polya's Theorem concerning polynomials which are positive on the positive orthant.
