About Me

I am a fifth year PhD student in Mathematics at the University of Minnesota, working with Professor Ben Brubaker. I did my undergraduate at Carleton College, graduating with a BA in Mathematics in 2013. My primary research interest is the representation theory of Hecke algebras, reductive groups and reductive monoids.

I received my Master's degree in Spring 2019. My oral exam paper was titled Finite Hecke Algebras and Their Characters.

I co-organized the 2019-20 Student Number Theory seminar with Joe Dickinson. For a schedule and abstracts, click here

I support inclusivity in mathematics. Here is a letter my department sent to the Minnesota Attorney General opposing an in-progress rule change that will make it more difficult for international students to study in the US.
