Ehrhart Unimodality

McCabe Olsen

Ohio State

Abstract

Ehrhart theory is the study of lattice point enumeration in convex, rational polyhedra. A common question in Ehrhart theory is determining when the coefficients of the Ehrhart h*-polynomial form a unimodal sequence. The goal of this talk will be to review some of the basic notions in Ehrhart theory and discuss strategies used for proving unimodality.
