Study materials

• Final Exam Study Guide.
Update: In (α) (a), just determine whether the sum converges or not; you don't need to find its value. If you want practice finding the value of a telescoping sum, replace the 2n with 3n in the denominator.

• Old Final Exams:
• Fall 2010 (solutions). Problems 1(b), 2(c,d), 3(b), 6(b) cover material we did not do in our course.
• Spring 2011 (solutions). Problems 1(c,d,e), 2(b), 4(b), 5(b) cover material we did not do in our course.
• Fall 2011 (solutions). The posted solution to 5(b) requires this correction: We need to check: if (a,b)R(c,d), then (c,d)R(a,b). Indeed, if (a,b)R(c,d), then ab=cd by definition of R. But we could reverse that equality to get cd=ab, which is the definition of (c,d)R(a,b).
